The fading of summer and those hot sultry nights, at times so hot, that you welcome a cool temperature, The colour of the landscape doesn´t change much here, with the passing of the seasons. The hottest time has faded. The reds and hot colours relate to the time of year illustrating the peak summer.

Based on a drawing of an orchid, and the colours washed outwith a further piece of detail added.
It is a small piece as it had only been a study sketch, but at times the mind sees other things or meanings, and this is what happened here. I think this became a sub conscious image telling me to rest, after acouple of weeks of feeling unwell.

Overwhelmed by the tragic Spanair aircrash, my thoughts turned to all the people still waiting for their lost ones to be returned to their final resting place. The sadness of it all and my own feelings of this sad event, caused me to create this piece as my own tribute,to the pain and suffering of those touched by this terrible accident.

I will admit that I have been suffering a creative block and hopefully now I am emerging, too many things to do at this moment. But I am sure we all know that feeling in one way or another.

I present to you a small black and white design I did for someone, it was part of a triptych and quite plain. representing the moon phases over a month.

Lost for inspiration, I took a drive to the volcanoes, where with a struggle I managed to make this piece from several sketches taken there.

It wasn¨t a good piece , as is anything produced in an inspirational block, but it was somethng that has since been destroyed. Sometimes the lack of inspiration is daunting, for me its better not to produce than produce second rate ideas

I love to work in black and white sometimes, its so versatile.

This picture came about when I was delving for ideas for a set of 3 black and white canvases someone has ordered from me.

This is not one of them,

but grew whilst searching ideas,

it´s called neurons as it developed straight from the head!
